EuroLCDs Ltd in the framework of project “Experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal display production” is finish line with project implementation.
All the equipment received in the framework of project is fully functional according to the set goals of the project “Experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal display production”.
Nonetheless all equipment is received there are some administrative issues to be solved in the framework of project thus we have requested Central Financing and Contracting Agency to extend deadline for final payment request submission till spring. Thankfully to CFCA final payment request will be extended, only the wording of amendment shall be coordinated.
Project is implemented with European Union Regional development fund co-financing (project number 1.2.1.4/18/A/017). Total costs are planned to be 1.25 million euro, including ineligible costs and European Union co-funding 493 123.60 EUR. Project implementation deadline is December of 2022nd.

All the equipment received in the framework of project is fully functional according to the set goals of the project “Experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal display production”.
Thankfully to Central Financing and Contracting Agency accepted project implementation deadline extension till 11th December of 2022, we have arranged project implementation in project time frame. Final payment request will be submitted at the very beginning of 2023, according conditions of the agreement with CFCA.
Project is implemented with European Union Regional development fund co-financing (project number 1.2.1.4/18/A/017). Total costs are planned to be 1.25 million euro, including ineligible costs and European Union co-funding 493 123.60 EUR. Project implementation deadline is December of 2022nd.

EuroLCDs Ltd in the framework of project “Experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal display production” is moving on with project implementation.
Implementation of the project has been extended for 6 months (till December of 2022) thanks to Central Financing and Contracting agency who accepted our initiated grant agreement amendment.
All delivered equipment is functional, but not for all purposes that are foreseen in the project. As reported before, there are necessary some upgrades from supplier of the equipment for its’ ability to produce wider spectrum of products. As agreement has been extended, we can implement necessary upgrades during project implementation.
Project is implemented with European Union Regional development fund co-financing (project number 1.2.1.4/18/A/017). Total costs are planned to be 1.25 million euro, including ineligible costs and European Union co-funding 493 123.60 EUR. Project implementation deadline is December of 2022nd.

EuroLCDs Ltd in the framework of the project “Experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal display production” is moving on with the project.
All the delivered equipment is functional, but as reported earlier suppliers’ engineers for on-site work are necessary to add some functionality that is necessary for some production processes. We would like to do additional testing round and carry out the final acceptance test after additional setups, but if we won’t manage, we do the final acceptance till 11th June of 2022, as it’s a deadline for EU funded project. In this case, the additional setup will be postponed to a post-monitoring period of the project.

As reported earlier suppliers’ engineers for on-site work are necessary to finalize equipment setup process. We are now in negotiation status with supplier on possibilities to solve this issue taking into account pandemics situation in Latvia and time frame for project completion. After final setups additional testing round and final acceptance test should be carried out. Above mentioned actions have to be implemented till 11th June of 2022.

We are continuing testing received equipment and have made some samples. After first trials we have discovered necessity to improve equipment capabilities which requests supplier engineers on-site work to be carried out which is difficult due to pandemics situation in Latvia.

At this moment we are in final equipment testing phase and first prototype 27” samples have been made. We are planning that this phase will take more time than planned initially as only remote assistance for equipment set-up from manufacturer is available due to uncertain pandemics situation. Due to raised pandemics levels in Europe some additionally necessary parts for equipment delivery have been delayed up to 2 months. Delays of deliveries have postponed equipment testing phase start and we are still in equipment integration stage. At this moment, only remote assistance for equipment set-up from manufacturer is planned as pandemics situation in Latvia haven’t improved significantly. | EUROLCDS Ltd in the framework of project “Experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal display production” has found a several solutions to move on with project implementation with support of Central Financing and Contracting agency and other public institutions despite raised pandemics levels in Europe. Main equipment with delay, but have been received in our factory on 11th January. Shipping was much longer than expected. Now we carry on with necessary infrastructure work to start equipment set up as soon as possible. It looks like only remote assistance for equipment set-up from manufacturers will be possible due pandemics rise in Europe, including Latvia where it looks like emergency situation won’t finish as soon as we would like to. Consequently, equipment set-up can delay significantly which will leave less time for us for experimental technology testing and implementation in production. | EUROLCDS Ltd in the framework of project “Experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal display production” has found a several solutions to move on with project implementation with support of Central Financing and Contracting agency and other public institutions despite raised pandemics levels in Europe. Laser upgrade was successfully finished in October. Supplier staff from UK traveled to Latvia under professional visit scheme with permission from Investment and Development agency of Latvia. Main equipment pre-acceptance testing (PAT) in supplier factory has been done. It was carried out using available online video solutions. Equipment has been loaded on ship in Korea harbor and it’s on its way to our factory in Latvia. We are expecting to receive it till the end of this year. | Experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal display production project news Government on 09.06.2020 terminated COVID-19 emergency situation in Latvia but kept travel restrictions for some countries in European Union as well as outside it. Countries where equipment in framework of project “Experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal display production” are produced are still not available for traveling. | EUROLCDS Ltd on the basis of the pandemics global emergency situation has agreed and signed amendment to the contract with CFCA in the framework of project “Experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal display production” extending project implementation time for 6 months. We appreciate fast and supportive cooperation with CFCA during this time, when international deals where personal presence is necessary are stopped for unknown time period. We are planning to receive and set-up equipment during first half of the next year. Most of experimental equipment specific details are already discussed and tested on small scale. Equipment is in production process phase and might be finished already till the end of this year. Delivery and set-up process will take extra time due to long transportation time and additional requirements for setting it up in clean-room environment. Other line parts has been ordered as well to achieve opportunity to obtain full cycle production of 27” displays. Delivery is planned till the main equipment is received. Necessary measuring equipment to be received within this project is partly ordered and already partly received. | EUROLCDS Ltd on 12th February of 2019 signed contract with Central Finance and Contracting Agency of the Republic of Latvia (further as CFLA) about experimental production line for 27” liquid crystal displays production (project number 1.2.1.4/18/A/017). Project implementation final term is the end of 2021st. Project implementation intends to set up new production line with equipment for 27” display production. Production line includes experimental equipment introduction as well. Total planned project costs are 1.25 million EUR, including ineligible costs 154 169.78 EUR which will be covered by companies own resources and 45% European Union Regional Development Fund funding from eligible costs which is 493 123.60 EUR. |
